IMPROVING YOUR BERGEN COUNTY HOME’S WEB APPEAL

These days it seems almost everything happens online. People shop online, meet online, socialize online, and more. Most buyers today begin their home search online which is why you should make sure your web appeal is very strong. After all, web appeal is the new curb appeal!

Our photos have to be top notch to draw attention to your property. Many buyers will fall in love with the photos of a home and decide to make an offer before even walking through the property! Walking through your home only confirms that feeling and strengthens the initial image they found on our website.

For this reason, we take extra special care to make sure our homes are picture perfect when viewed on our website. Here are our top 6 tips on how to improve your Bergen County home’s web appeal:

Ensure there is plenty of light in your rooms

Light helps sell the home. The more light that enters a room, the bigger it looks. We recommend that you purchase a few additional lamps if needed.

Declutter your home

You want the focus to be on your house; not on the fridge magnets of your kids that has been on there for 10 years. Get rid of any personal items when taking pictures. People want to visualise what the house would look like with their items inside. Make sure you clean countertops and pack away everything that needs to be packed away.

Stage your home

Organizing your home in the right way can make it look more appealing to the buyers. We are able to professionally stage homes, to add or remove pieces from photos to make sure you get the best attention online. They will be able to position everything in such a way that buyers can envision themselves living in your home before they buy it.

Clean up the backyard

Many buyers feel that a messy backyard is a deal killer. Make sure you rake up the leaves, mow the grass, and pack away any tools or objects lying around. Let the attention fall on the in season lush grass and wide open spaces so that families can see their kids playing outside.

Improve the rooms

If a room is not on par, we won’t include it online, but you still have a chance to fix it before the showings start. All the rooms have to look appealing and inviting. Make sure the walls are clean and the floors have been washed so that buyers see potential in the house as a whole.

Tend to your garage & basement

If you have time to get the garage & basement sorted out, we definitely urge you to do so. Even though it’s not a deal killer, buyers would like to see how much space they’ll have to work with.
